Experience authentic ceremonies and ancient traditions in Ethiopia's living museum of tribal cultures. Visit the Mursi, Hamer, Karo, and other communities with a guide who grew up among them.

   Addis Ababa → Jinka

   Day 1

   Morning pickup from your Addis hotel or airport. Domestic flight to Jinka (or full-day drive for those who prefer road). Meet your guide, settle into the hotel, and evening briefing over traditional Ethiopian dinner.

2. 2

   Jinka — Mursi Village Visit

   Day 2

   Early breakfast, then drive into Mago National Park. Full day with the Mursi people — meet the women with lip plates, learn about donga stick fighting, and share a meal in the village. Return to Jinka for dinner.

   Jinka → Turmi via Key Afer Market

   Day 3

   Drive south, stopping at the famous Saturday Key Afer market where Hamer, Bena, Ari, and Tsemay traders gather. Afternoon arrival in Turmi. Evening evangadi dance in a Hamer village.

   Hamer Village & Bull Jumping Ceremony

   Day 4

   Morning visit to a Hamer village — learn about their ochre hairstyles and cattle culture. If a bull jumping ceremony is happening, attend with your guide. Otherwise, another cultural village in the afternoon.

   Karo Village — Korcho

   Day 5

   Drive to Korcho, the famous Karo village perched above the Omo River. Witness traditional body and face painting using natural pigments. Photography session with the community's consent. Return to Turmi.

   Dassanech & Omo River

   Day 6

   Cross the Omo River by boat to visit the Dassanech people — the "people of the delta" — known for their crocodile-skin dresses and scarification. Afternoon boat trip on the Omo River with hippo sightings.

   Turmi → Jinka

   Day 7

   Slow morning drive back to Jinka. Stop at Omorate or the Lower Omo villages if time permits. Farewell dinner with your guide in Jinka.

   Jinka → Addis Ababa

   Day 8

   Morning flight back to Addis Ababa. Drop-off at your hotel or Bole International Airport. Optionally, add a day tour of Addis (National Museum, Mercato).
