Attend the Ukuli Bula — a Hamer rite of passage where young men jump across a line of cattle to prove their readiness for marriage.

   Addis Ababa → Jinka → Turmi

   Day 1

   Fly to Jinka, then drive to Turmi. Evening arrival at Buska Lodge. Your guide briefs you on the Hamer and the bull jumping ceremony.

   Hamer Village & Preparations

   Day 2

   Visit a Hamer village to meet the family hosting the ceremony. Learn about their ochre hairstyles, cattle culture, and the meaning of the Ukuli Bula. Evening evangadi dance.

   Bull Jumping Day

   Day 3

   The main event. Afternoon assembly at the ceremony site. Witness the whipping ritual (if it happens that day) and the evening bull jumping — the young man running four times across the backs of 7–15 cattle. Celebration continues until late.

   Turmi → Jinka → Addis Ababa

   Day 4

   Morning drive to Jinka. Flight back to Addis Ababa. Drop-off at your hotel or Bole International Airport.
